🐾 Our Policies
At KND K9s, the health, safety, and happiness of every dog in our care are our highest priorities. Our policies have been carefully designed to ensure that all dogs, owners, and staff enjoy a safe, respectful, and professional experience. We believe in being open and transparent about the way we operate, so every owner knows exactly what to expect when trusting us with their beloved companion.
Health and Wellbeing
All dogs attending KND K9s must be fully vaccinated and in good health. Vaccinations must include Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis, and records should be provided before your dog’s first visit. We also ask that all dogs are regularly treated for fleas and worms, and that owners inform us immediately if their dog has been unwell, is on medication, or has any allergies or medical conditions. Any contagious illness must be declared, and we reserve the right to decline entry to maintain the wellbeing of all dogs in our care.
Behaviour and Socialisation
We welcome friendly and sociable dogs who can enjoy a positive, supervised group environment. For everyone’s safety, we ask that owners are honest about their dog’s temperament, social skills, and behaviour history. Dogs showing signs of aggression, severe anxiety, or anti-social behaviour may not be suitable for our services. We also conduct introductory sessions to ensure that each dog is a good fit for our environment and to support smooth, safe integration with others.
Safety and Supervision
All dogs are constantly supervised by trained and experienced staff who are passionate about canine care and welfare. Our facilities and outdoor spaces are secure, and dogs are only walked off-lead with the owner’s written consent and in safe, controlled areas. Should a medical or behavioural emergency occur, we will contact you or your nominated emergency contact immediately and, if necessary, transport your dog to a registered veterinarian.
Bookings, Cancellations, and Payments
Bookings must be confirmed with a deposit, and full payment is required before your dog’s stay begins. Because spaces are limited, cancellations made within 28 days of the booking start date may still incur full charges, as outlined in our terms and conditions. This helps us ensure fair access to our services and maintain the quality of care we promise to all clients.
Communication and Transparency
We value open communication with all our clients. You can expect regular updates about your dog’s time with us, including photos and messages through our social media channels (with your consent). Any changes to your dog’s health, behaviour, or routine should be shared with us before future visits to ensure we can continue providing the best possible care.
The Doggy Dossier
Before attending KND K9s, all owners are required to complete our Doggy Dossier, which gathers essential information about your dog’s personality, health, habits, and preferences. This ensures that every dog receives the individual attention and support they deserve from day one.
By adhering to these policies, KND K9s can continue to provide a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment where dogs thrive and owners have complete peace of mind.
